Solar Tower Fuel Plant Could Be The Future Of Decarbonizing Aviation
The solar tower, developed at ETH Zürich, could help reduce emissions from aviation. It turns air and sunlight into carbon-neutral jet fuel with the help of its 169 reflecting panels. If installed on a commercial scale, these solar towers could produce 40 million litres of fuel per year, enough for 600 transatlantic flights.
