8% of deaths could be attributed to a lack of quality sleep, according to a new study presented to the American College of Cardiology. Better sleep can cut your risk of heart disease, cancer, and dying from any cause. Researchers found that better sleep habits boost men’s life expectancy by 4.7 years. While women live 2.4 years longer on average. Scientists don’t yet know the reason for this discrepancy, but they advise 5 pillars of good sleep hygiene.
