A Holistic Guide to Approaching AI Fairness Education in Organizations

As companies around the world increasingly use artificial intelligence (AI) in their decision-making processes, there is an ever greater risk of creating or reinforcing unfair bias. This can have serious repercussions not just for individuals, but for a company’s brand reputation, employee satisfaction, sales and compliance with regulatory standards. In response, organizations have begun to educate their workforces on ethical and responsible AI design, deployment and use, and the need for a set of robust AI fairness principles. With this in mind, the World Economic Forum Global Future Council (GFC) on Artificial Intelligence for Humanity, comprising 24 world experts in the field, formulated a consensus on a holistic approach to AI fairness education, outlined in this white paper.
