UK Workers May Soon Be Able to Ask for Flexible Work from Day One

This includes working from home, job sharing, and flexible work hours. At present, new employees have to work for 26 weeks before they can request flexible work. But the government hopes to implement the new rules next year to give workers more control over how, when, and where they work. Flexible working became widespread during the pandemic and has proved popular with employees. 70% of workers want to keep flexible working in place, and 87% of employees say they will work flexibly when it's offered.
