Brussels Plans Public Open Air Swimming Pool

Brussels reached 38°C during a recent heatwave, so the city wants to build a 355-metre open air swimming pool to keep people cool. That’s the length of 7 Olympic swimming pools. At 13 metres wide, it could accommodate 480 people at once. The open air swimming pool would be built alongside the canal, equipped with a natural filtration system. However, Brussels is not the only city giving its waterways a facelift, as Paris, Berlin, and Copenhagen have also taken similar measures. Watch to learn more.
