With nearly 75% of companies leveraging AI, its potential is undeniable. Despite its relatively small global electricity demand footprint, AI-related electricity consumption is projected to grow by 50% annually through 2030.

With use case insights from a diverse global community of over 40 organizations across nine industries, this paper conducts a preliminary exploration that highlights potential collaboration areas for scaling sustainable AI applications. Companies in the telecommunications, energy and advanced manufacturing sectors are already experiencing electricity savings ranging from 10-60%, with potential for further optimization.
