Your co-workers like you more than you think, according to psychologists. We routinely underestimate the first impression we make, a study found. Researchers have dubbed the phenomenon the ‘liking gap’. They asked pairs of people to chat and asked them afterward how it went. It turns out that people often miscalculate the first impressions they make, exaggerating the negative aspects.
