In Latin America, Women Are Now More Educated Than Men

More than 60% of women in Latin America go to college or university, compared with just under half of men. There’s been a huge transition since 1970 when just 5% of LatAm women had access to higher education. Since then, the percentage of women in college has grown 14-fold. As a proportion of college students, women overtook men back in 1993. One year after, the same happened in the European Union. Watch to learn more the gender parity in Latin America.
