Yves Zumbühl

Global Shaper, Lucerne Hub

Founder of PaperCheck & botts.ai, building AI products from Zug, Switzerland.

PaperCheck (papercheck.ai) is an AI thesis coach. Students get structured feedback on argumentation, sources and citations in about five minutes, plus predicted defense questions before their oral exam. More than 10,000 students and several Swiss universities use it, Peru's education ministry has publicly recommended it, and it is backed by Venture Kick and Microsoft for Startups. I have presented the work at an OpenAI event in London.

botts.ai, my second venture, brings AI agents into the daily operations of European SMEs: Swiss hosting, no training on customer data, built for regulated industries.

Before founding, I trained as a software engineer at Roche Diagnostics and spent my civil service year in Laos as a full stack developer for the Centre for Development and Environment. I hold a BSc in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning from HSLU, where I also created the AI program's TikTok channel and grew my own channels to over 200,000 views.

As a Global Shaper in the Lucerne Hub and a member of the Shaping AI project, I work on trustworthy AI in education and the future of work. Always happy to connect on AI products, edtech and AI policy.
