Euclid Network - the European Social Enterprise Network (EN) - is one of the fastest growing European networks for intermediary organisations that support social entrepreneurs, social innovators and impact-driven leaders to drive positive change together. 50 members active in 75+ countries represent and support over 120,000 organisations and 25 million individuals annually throughout Europe and beyond.

EN is working to support the demand side of social finance, as a strategic partner of the European Commission, observer of the UN Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy, member of the World Economic Forum Global Alliance for Social Entrepreneurs and strategic partner of the Social Enterprise World Forum.

EN influences policy change, increases access to finance, markets, knowledge and skills for social enterprise support organisations and social entrepreneurs that combine profit and impact, to empower them to drive positive change. EN creates value with (peer) learning and networking exchange, impact-driven programmes, research and policy work for the social finance and social entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Wieteke is a social entrepreneur and intrapreneur at heart, and has over 20 years experience in setting up and leading initiatives and movements driving positive change across private, public and third sectors, from large multinational corporations, to United Nations, from co-founding start-ups, to scale-ups, to leadership positions in multi-partnerships multi-sector alliances, seeing both failure and great success. She previously worked, amongst others, for the United Nations (5th Committee in New York, to the World Food Programme in Italy and Bolivia), Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thomson Reuters (working e.g. on the integration of ESG data into one of the two largest global mainstream financial platforms over a decade ago), Microsoft and the CEMS Global Alliance in Management Education.

At EN, Wieteke leads the organisation as CEO, working with EN’s key partners, such as the European Commission, Social Enterprise World Forum, World Economic Forum Global Alliance for Social Entrepreneurship, Google.org, and SAP, amongst others, setting up and (co-)leading initiatives such as the European Social Enterprise Monitor, European Social Innovation Campus, Buy Social in Europe movement, and Google.org’s EUR20 million Social Innovation Fund for AI, powered by INCO and EN.

Next to EN, Wieteke is a Board Member at two global educational non-profits, engaging the leading 100 universities and business schools in the world, 70+ multinational corporations and international organisations educating the future generation of responsible leaders. She is a former member of the European Commission Eurostat High-Level Expert Group “Empowering society by re-using privately held data for official statistics” and current ambassador for data ethics and bottom-up data-driven civil society empowered influencing of policy-making and decision-making.

At the age of 26, Wieteke received from HRH the Crown Prince of Denmark the GBF global young leadership award recognising her for outstanding leadership and innovation at the global university, Business School and MBA level.

Wieteke holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Masters in Strategic and International Management and an Executive Education in impact management and measurement, respectively from RSM Erasmus University, ESADE, CEMS and Oxford. She has been living and working in seven countries, before returning to her home country, the Netherlands, where she lives today with her husband and two sons.
