Ulrik Stridbaek is Vice President and Head of Global Regulatory and Public Affairs at Ørsted, where he leads the company’s global positioning strategy and stakeholder engagement on regulatory and policy matters.

In this role, he works to promote effective policy and market frameworks for offshore wind and supports broader energy market frameworks that drive investment in energy security, decarbonisation, and competitive energy supply.

Ulrik Stridbaek has been with Ørsted since 2008. He is a member of the Management Committee of WindEurope, serves on the Board of Green Power Denmark, and is Vice-Chair of DI Energy (Confederation of Danish Industry).

Prior to joining Ørsted, he spent four years at the International Energy Agency (IEA) as a Principal Policy Advisor, where he was responsible for electricity sector analysis and provided policy advice to IEA member governments.

With more than 25 years of experience in the energy sector, Ulrik Stridbaek has extensive expertise in global energy-sector analysis, regulation, market design, and energy policy.

He holds a Master’s degree in Economics.
