Tracey Chambers empowers women social entrepreneurs in the small business and the education sector in South Africa. Tracey is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Taking Care of Business (formerly The Clothing Bank) and Grow ECD. Prior to her position, Tracey worked as the Head of Financial Planning and Performance Management Woolworths Limited, a listed South Africa retailer. In 2010, Tracey founded TCB, a non-profit organization equipping unemployed South Africans with the entrepreneurial skills and resources they need to eradicate poverty in their families. Their unique model uses excess product from the fast moving goods supply changes as the tool to support entrepreneurs to start businesses. Annually 1200 participants are in their various programmes which span 5 locations in South Africa. GROW ECD aims to support women who run early learning centres to deliver 5 star quality learning and to improve the financial sustainability of their small business. GROW has developed a free mobile ECD management platform which now makes it possible for anyone to operate a 5 star ECD centre. More than 1500 centres are now using this tool benefiting 27000 children daily.
