
电池与绿色分子是解决脱碳难题的最后两块关键拼图
全球能源转型的关键,在于实现电力脱碳,并尽可能推动经济各领域的电气化。风能和太阳能等可再生能源构成了这场转型的支柱。但要真正实现“净零”,整个系统还需要两块“拼图”:电池与绿色分子。它们并非彼此竞争的方案,而是相辅相成、缺一不可。
Thomas Brostrøm currently serves as the President of Ørsted’s North American business. The company is a leader in offshore wind with 22 offshore wind projects around the world and 5,600 employees. Brostrøm oversees all North American operations for Ørsted, including the company’s proposed utility-scale offshore wind development projects in Massachusetts and New Jersey.
Recently, Brostrøm was named one of the Boston Business Journal’s 40 under 40 recipients. Brostrøm initially joined Ørsted in Denmark in 2009 where he served as Business Developer and Mergers & Acquisitions and later Head of the Renewables Strategy team. He moved to Ørsted’s UK office in 2012 where he was instrumental in building the company’s utility-scale offshore wind business as Head of Project Development UK. In this role, Brostrøm led the development of the 1.2 gigawatt Hornsea project, the world’s largest offshore wind farm, and the Burbo Bank Extension project, which uses 8-MW Vestas turbines – some of the largest in the world.
Brostrøm studied Business Analysis & Valuation and Mergers & Acquisitions at Harvard University and received his master’s degree in Finance and International Business from Aarhus University in Denmark. He was also an Instructor in corporate finance at Aarhus School of Business in Denmark. Brostrøm lives in Massachusetts with his wife and three children.
In 2017, Brostrøm was elected to serve on the board of The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA). In this new board role, Brostrøm will help oversee AWEA’s policy, project development, and research activities.
