Takayuki Mizuno

Associate Professor of Informatics, National Institute of Informatics and SOKENDAI

Takayuki Mizuno is an associate professor of informatics at the National Institute of Informatics and at SOKENDAI (the Graduate University for Advanced Studies), focusing on econophysics, network science, and big data science. Previously, he was an associate professor of computer science at Tsukuba University (2011-2013); assistant professor of economics at Hitotsubashi University (2007-2010); and a recipient of a research fellowship for young scientists at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (2004-2007) where he studied financial price dynamics. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Chuo University.He won the Best Paper Award of the 75th Information Processing Society of Japan National Convention. His research topic, “Create Early-Warning Technologies for Bubble using Financial Big Data” was selected in FY2013 as a new research topic under the Precursory Research for Embryonic Science and Technology (PRESTO) program, a Strategic Basic Research Program of Japan Science and Technology Agency (selection rate: 6 topics selected out of 100).
