Svein serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Marsh McLennan North Asia, overseeing operations in Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Korea. He is an integral member of the Asia Leadership and Executive Committee, contributing to strategic decision-making, regional growth initiatives and enhancing the company’s presence in the region.
Experience
With over 30 years of experience at Marsh McLennan, Svein has held various leadership roles across multiple global locations, including New York, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Atlanta, Seoul, and Tokyo. His extensive background encompasses providing management direction and implementing risk management strategies that leverage Marsh McLennan's global resources. Svein is committed to cultivating a workplace culture of respect, accountability, inclusivity, diversity and recognition.
In addition to his professional commitments, Svein is actively involved in several organizations, including the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, the Korea USO Advisory Board and is engaged in community activity to make society a better place.
He holds a degree from the University of San Diego and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona.
