Dr. Seongwon Park is an Associate Research Fellow at the Center for Strategic Foresight at the Science and Technology Policy Institute in South Korea. He received his PhD in the Alternative Futures Program from the Department of Political Science at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He is also a former researcher of the Hawaii Research Center for Future Studies, a member of the World Futures Studies Federation and a member of Association of Professional Futurists.
His research interests are governments' futures studies in the EU, USA and East Asia, policy planning and decision making through foresight activities, future research methods based on scenarios, emerging issue analysis and scanning and indigenous futures studies with comparative cultures and philosophies.
