
How to close the skills gap: lessons from emerging economies
Automation and globalization are reshaping the world economy. Within the next four years, more than 5 million jobs are expected to be lost to robots.
Sébastien Turbot is the Curator and Global Director at WISE (World Innovation Summit for Education), an initiative of Qatar Foundation. In this capacity, Sébastien curates and manages content across the activities of the initiative (Annual summit, publications, programs, communication and social media, etc). Sébastien also manages all the key programs of WISE (WISE Awards, WISE Accelerator, WISE Awards, etc). Additionally he oversees stakeholder and partner relationships.
Prior to joining WISE, Sébastien founded an Afghanistan-based strategic communication agency where he designed, developed and implemented a wide range of communication campaigns, tools and trainings on development, humanitarian affairs, governance, security and post-conflict related issues.
Sébastien has also worked on corporate social responsibility for an international consultancy firm; as a communications and advocacy officer for NGOs; as a journalist on conflict and humanitarian issues; and has been the editorial director of TEDxParis.
