Scott Francisco

Founder and Director, Pilot Projects Collaborative

Scott Francisco is a Cities4Forests Director and a Co-Founder and Director of Pilot Projects — a Cities4Forests founding partner. He leads Cities4Forests’ mission to connect cities with far forests.

Since 2008, Francisco has piloted dozens of global projects that systemically connect urban infrastructure and consumption with forests and forest communities. He has also co-created several multi-disciplinary communities of practice on the topic, including The Future of Forest Work and Communities, Wood at Work and Thriving Forests and Regenerative Built Environments.

He has taught at the McGill School of Architecture, Michael Graves College, Parsons New School for Design, Stanford in New York, and The University of Kentucky School of Architecture. He holds a Master of Science degree in Architecture Studies, Architecture, Design, History and Theory from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Toronto.
