Rafaela Valencia-Dongo is a Peruvian design strategist, systems thinker, and serial entrepreneur based in Spain, working at the intersection of foresight, social change, and innovation ecosystems.

She is the founder of Afterfin, a DeathLab reimagining how we approach mortality and legacy, and the founder of Retablo, an innovation studio focused on co-creating impact-driven solutions with communities through strategic design.

Rafaela is currently leading work on the future of education in Latin America, supporting large-scale institutions in adopting AI strategies and foresight tools to design more resilient, adaptable, student-centered learning systems. She recently led the development of the Future of Learning Radar for Peru’s largest private education network, serving over +100,000 students.
She also teaches futures thinking to faculty and leadership teams, shaping the next generation of learners.

She is also a Core Collaborator of the Longevity Economy Taskforce at the World Economic Forum, where she explores how aging, longevity, and intergenerational spaces are reshaping society.

Passionate about the power of collective intelligence and regenerative mindsets, Rafaela is an EPIC Award winner for Emerging Leaders, Next Generation Foresight Practitioner 2026 Fellow, and an international speaker, driven by a deep curiosity for how we navigate complexity and by the belief that better questions, not just better answers, will shape the futures we want to live in.
