
Tackling methane emission blind spots with satellite technology
While carbon dioxide (CO₂) has long dominated climate change discourse, the scientific community is increasingly turning its attention to methane as a critical threat.
At Nara, Jae-Pil is leading the company's strategy and operations, establishing the company as a key player for comprehensive cubesat solutions in South Korea. Under his leadership, Nara Space saw the successful launch of the company’s first 16U Earth Observation satellite, Observer-1A, in November 2023, marking an important milestone as South Korea’s first commercial cubesat mission. He holds degrees in systems engineering from Yonsei University and is a passionate science and space communicator, contributing regularly to his Alma mater campus events or playing host for NaraSpace’s YouTube channel.
