Prior to her appointment as Minister of Sustainable Development, HE. Noor Alkhulaif was the Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy; responsible for overseeing the Government of Bahrain’s economic and fiscal sustainability plans including the multi-year Economic Recovery Plan and the Fiscal Balance Program.
Her Excellency Alkhulaif first joined the Ministry of Finance and National Economy in 2019 as a Director of the Information and Economic Indicators Directorate, leading the team responsible for monitoring and analysing the Kingdom’s economic indicators. HE. started her career in the private sector as a statutory auditor and later assurance advisor with Deloitte LLP in the United Kingdom, where she worked for over 8 years.
Her Excellency Alkhulaif is a member of the Supreme Council for Women and a Trustee of the Isa bin Salman Charity Educational Endowment
Her Excellency holds a Masters Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Economics from the same university. She is also a Chartered Accountant (ACA) certified from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) since 2011. She is also a recipient of the Bahrain Crown Prince International Scholarship Program. She speaks Arabic and English fluently.
