Maximiliano specializes in innovation and circular economy, driving projects to transform our systems to protect and regenerate the planet.
He has developed public policy proposals to advance sustainable development and collaborated in documents at the frontier of knowledge on waste management systems in Latin America. To this end, he has worked together with local governments and international organizations such as the IDB, CCAP, Oceana and the World Bank.
A great storyteller and a serial thinker, Maximiliano has spoken at international events such as the eMerge Americas and Ellen MacArthur Foundation Plastic Workshops. In addition, he published in the scientific journal Sustainability and was awarded as one of the best thesis in 2023 by the Parliamentary Academy of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile. This has led him to become one of the youngest adjunct professors at the School of Government of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
As the actual Curator of Global Shapers Santiago, aims to promote youth participation in advocacy spaces and is currently writing a book on the subject. Also, is leading a cross-hub initiative call South Resilience, a think tank that seeks to address global risks with local knowledge of the southern cone.
Convinced that collaboration is the key to advancing the world's challenges, Maximiliano is working in innovate high-impact solutions with public and private institutions.
