Martin Tomitsch

Professor in Interaction Design & Director of Innovation, The University of Sydney

Dr Martin Tomitsch is a Professor in Interaction Design at the University of Sydney’s School of Architecture, Design and Planning, where he teaches interface design, creative thinking and innovation, and leads the Urban Interfaces Lab. As Director of Innovation (Education, Enterprise and Engagement) he works on interdisciplinary education initiatives and oversees innovation and startup programs at the University of Sydney. He is a visiting Professor at the Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts Visual Art Innovation Institute and a founding member of the Media Architecture Institute. His research investigates new ways for designing the interaction between people and technologies. His recent books include “Design Think Make Break Repeat – A Handbook of Methods” (published by BIS) and “Making Cities Smarter – Designing Interactive Urban Applications” (published by Jovis).
