Mario is an economist working as a TradeTech and Digital Trade Specialist at the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland. He is responsible for overseeing the Forum's Digital Trade community and initiatives, identifying and connecting with new members, helping them fully engage with the platform, and strengthening communication around their activities.
In 2021, he co-founded Latinometrics, a data visualization publication focusing on Latin American startups, markets, and trends. Through charts and graphics, Latinometrics visualizes the potential of the Latin American region. Its audience includes renowned CEOs, politicians (including sitting presidents), and investors from the region and beyond.
Mario is Mexican, fluent in English and Spanish, and has intermediate proficiency in French. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master's degree in European and International Governance from the University of Geneva. Hobbies include tennis and swimming.
