Manny Maceda

Chair, Bain & Company

Manny Maceda became Chairman of Bain & Company in January 2025, after serving as Worldwide Managing Partner and CEO from 2018 to 2024. Under his leadership, Bain experienced accelerated growth—doubling in size, embedding advanced digital and technology capabilities, and completing more than 20 strategic transactions—while maintaining Bain’s distinctive culture and its #1 ranking on Glassdoor’s list of Best Places to Work. In 2024, Bain was also named #1 on Glassdoor’s inaugural list of Best Led Companies in the U.S.

Manny joined Bain in 1989. Over the course of his 35-year career, he has advised global CEOs across industries on enterprise-wide transformations involving strategy, growth, performance improvement, and organizational effectiveness—with particular depth in technology.

Before becoming CEO, Manny held several senior leadership roles at Bain, including Chairman of the Asia-Pacific region, Global Leader of the Transformation and Performance Improvement practices, and member of the firm’s Management, Nominating, and Operating Committees.

Manny is a member of the board of directors of the Stryker Corporation, the Ayala Corporation, The Bridgespan Group and the Advisory Board of the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is a member of the Community of Chairpersons of the World Economic Forum and previously served as a member of the US Business Roundtable. Manny is a founding partner of The Asian American Foundation and the OneTen Initiative.

He holds an M.S. in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management, as well as a B.S. in Chemical Engineering Magna Cum Laude from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He has received honorary doctorates from Illinois Tech and De La Salle University in the Philippines. He and his wife reside in the San Francisco area, where they raised their four children.
