Malak El-Boury

Global Shaper, Montreal Hub

Malak El Boury is a researcher, educator, and ecosystem builder working at the intersection of entrepreneurship, innovation, mobility, and adaptive learning across Africa and the Global South. She currently works with UM6P Canada on executive education, research, and strategic partnership initiatives connecting Morocco and Canada.

She teaches at the Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences (FGSES) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and contributes to entrepreneurship, innovation, and experiential learning initiatives through international teaching, workshops, hackathons, and interdisciplinary learning experiences.

Her work explores how entrepreneurial ecosystems, international mobility, and future-oriented learning shape entrepreneurial careers, inclusive innovation, and economic participation. Combining research, teaching, and applied ecosystem engagement, she designs learning experiences and strategic initiatives focused on entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial adaptation, and innovation in transitional contexts.

A Future 50 honoree of the World Economic Forum’s Global Foresight Network, she has collaborated with organizations including UNESCO, the World Bank, Huawei, and Columbia University on projects related to entrepreneurship, migration, education, and the future of work. Her work bridges academic research, policy conversations, and entrepreneurial ecosystem development, with a particular interest in diaspora entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial learning, and adaptive support systems.

She is also the author of internationally recognized teaching case studies on entrepreneurship and innovation in Morocco.
