Lucy Clark

Research Fellow, University of St Andrews

I am a Materials Chemist working in the School of Chemistry at the University of St Andrews. My research focuses on the discovery of novel quantum magnets. Through the careful study of the materials that I create, I seek to gain a detailed understanding of the fascinating magnetic behaviour that they can display. Before coming to St Andrews, I worked as a post-doc in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at McMaster University where I learnt to apply the technique of neutron scattering to explore the properties of matter. I carried out my graduate studies under the supervision of Prof Paul Attfield FRS and was awarded a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh in 2013.
