Dr. Kyu ("Q") Rhee serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Aetna at CVS Health. He and his team lead the integration and delivery of clinical and population health solutions. He is passionate and grateful to work for a health care innovation company with a simple and clear purpose: "to help people on their path to better health" from the community to the home to the palm of their hand.
Dr. Rhee is a practicing physician in both internal medicine and pediatrics. Prior to joining CVS Health, Dr. Rhee was the Chief Health Officer of IBM where he and his team had global responsibility for IBM’s efforts to transform health through the use of data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and services. Before that, he was the Chief Public Health Officer at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), which is the primary federal agency for improving access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated, or medically vulnerable. Prior to his public service, he worked as a National Health Service Corps primary care physician and Chief Medical Officer in community health settings in Washington, DC and Baltimore. During that time, he taught at the George Washington University School of Public Health, where he was awarded for his classes in Community Health Leadership and Health Disparities.
