Karen Helene Ulltveit-Moe is Professor of International economics at the University of Oslo and Research Fellow of CEPR. She is also Member of the Executive Board of the Norwegian Central Bank (Norges Bank). Her research interests include international economics, firms' reponses to globalisation, economic geography, tax policy and industrial policy. She has worked as Consultant for the European Commission and served as Adviser to the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Norwegian Ministry of Finance. Moreover, she has been a member and Chairman of several government-appointed public commissions as well as member of the Board of directors of Norwegian multinational corporations. She did her PhD in economics at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) and London School of Economics with Jan I. Haaland, Victor D. Norman and Anthony Venables.
