How Africa can shape its trade future beyond AGOA
The African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) is set to officially expire on 30 September, meaning that African policy-makers face a pivotal decision.
JJ is an Associate in the Strategy & Risk Advisory Africa team at J.S. Held, where he advises clients in the FMCG, telecommunications, and oil & gas sectors on investment opportunities across Africa. He possesses deep expertise in the political and economic dynamics of the region, with particular focus on Nigeria and Ghana.
JJ also plays a key role in the firm’s due diligence and investigative practice. He has led high-profile investigations across Africa, including mandates for several development finance institutions and private equity firms.
Prior to joining J.S. Held, JJ gained experience at Eurasia Group, UK, and the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) in Accra, Ghana, where he supported policy-influencing initiatives across the region.
JJ holds an MSc in African Studies from the University of Oxford, where he was a scholar at St Antony's College. He is a qualified lawyer and earned his law degree from Bowen University, Nigeria.
