Jianguang Shen, Ph.D., is VP and Chief Economist of JD.com, a leading e-commerce company in China. He is also the Dean of JD Economic Research Institute.
Dr. Shen is a Vice Chair of National Statistics Society (NBS), a standing member of China Society for the Study of the Private-Sector Economy (CSSPE), Executive President of Moganshan Institute, a member of the China Chief Economist Forum, an adjunct professor at the School of Economics and the School of International Finance of Fudan University.
Previously he served as Chief Economist of Mizuho Securities Asia, and senior economist at ECB and China International Capital Corporation. Dr. Shen was also Economist at the IMF, OECD and Central Bank of Finland, and Visiting Scholar at the People's Bank of China.
He was a post-doctoral researcher at the MIT, held a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Helsinki.
