Humzah Yazdani

Humzah Q. Yazdani is part of the World Economic Forum's Expert Network for Future of Energy, Future of Environment & Natural Resource Security, and Fourth Industrial Revolution. He is a US-qualified attorney, working at the law firm, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where his practice focuses on projects and M&A transactions in the energy sector

Humzah was the 2019-2020 MD Anderson Research Fellow at the Institute for Transnational Law, where his research focused on carbon pricing and the role of ancillary policies to curb carbon emissions. Humzah completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Global Energy and Environmental Law at The University of Texas School of Law on a Fulbright scholarship awarded by the U.S. Department of State.

In 2020, Humzah was one of 50 Global Shapers (under 30) from around the world selected by the World Economic Forum to attend its Annual Meeting in Davos.

After earning his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of London in 2011, Humzah qualified as a barrister from England in 2012. Since then, Humzah has practiced law in the areas of commercial and transactional law with a focus on the energy and power sectors.

Humzah is licensed to practice law in Texas (2020) and Pakistan (2012) and was called to the bar of England & Wales (2012).
