Henry Squire is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of California, Berkeley in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering where he is a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellow and Philomathia Environmental Sciences Graduate Fellow. He completed a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University where he competed on the Men’s Tennis team and conducted research on next generation materials for grid-scale electrochemical energy storage systems. Prior to starting his PhD, he worked as a materials scientist at Procter & Gamble. As a Ph.D. candidate, his research centers on developing tools for diverse plant biotechnology applications including crop-pathogen defense, biomolecule delivery, and genetic engineering.
