農業におけるテクノロジー活用は目新しいものではありません。遊牧民のライフスタイルが廃れて以来、文明社会は道具や方法を開発して土地を耕し、動物を飼い馴らしてきました。しかし、現在の食料生産と消費のあり方は、地球を脅かし、将来私たちが自給自足できなくなるかもしれない多くの課題を引き起こしています。これらには一見、解決策などないように見えるかもしれません。
