Also Associate Professor of the Department of Engineering Mechanics, School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Civil Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Has served in research projects such as the National Young Talent Program, the Shanghai Overseas Senior Talent Program and the “Deep Blue Fund” of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2021, won the Best Conference Paper Award at ICRA, the most influential international conference in the field of robotics (1/4,056 globally). In 2018, received the Best System Paper Award from Amazon Robotics. In 2017, took first place in the Amazon Robotics Challenge. Main research directions include robot operation, tactile sensing and perception, dynamic systems with friction and mechanical intelligence. Holds Bachelor’s and Doctoral degrees from Peking University and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT.
