Cynthia Elliott

Associate, TRAC Policy

Cynthia is an Associate for the Global Climate Program. She focuses on transparency and implementation of climate change mitigation actions and building capacity in developing countries to effectively track emissions reductions. She also follows transparency and accountability related to the Paris Agreement.
Cynthia has previous experience on international governance arrangements for non-state and subnational actors engaged in climate action, and advancing issues under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change negotiations. She also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Suriname and has experience working on urban stormwater policy and sustainability, energy efficiency, and clean energy policy.
Cynthia holds a M.A. in Global Environmental Policy from American University and a B.A. in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Southern Maine. She is a Fukushima Global Ambassador and in 2012 was selected as an Energy and Environment Fellow with the Japan Foundation as part of a research program for U.S. future leaders.
