Claudio Facchin is President and CEO of Hitachi Energy Ltd.. He took up his present role in July 2020, after leading the Power Grids business between 2016 and 2020 and the Power Systems division from 2013 to 2015. Prior to this he was Chairman and President of ABB in China and responsible for the company’s North Asia region from 2010-2013.
His career with ABB started in 1995 and in 2002 he moved to Zurich, Switzerland to head the global Service business for the erstwhile Utilities division. He was subsequently appointed as global Business Line manager for Substations within the Power Systems division.
Claudio has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy.
