Dr. Cecilia Cannon is Managing Director at PoliSync Centre for International Policy Engagement and a Visiting Lecturer at the Geneva Graduate Institute. She brings over 20 years of experience in policy research, graduate teaching, and policy communications across academia, UN bodies, and NGOs. She directed the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights project on the securitisation of migration and other non-traditional threats, and led research for the UN Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants’ 2024 report on migrants’ contributions amid rising xenophobia. She also served as Academic Adviser for the UN’s 75th anniversary. Her expertise spans migration policy, securitisation, international organisations, and multistakeholder governance. She currently leads the Stronger Together campaign. She holds a PhD in International Relations/Political Science from the Geneva Graduate Institute.
