
How Malaysia is embracing digital transformation to achieve sustainability
Digital transformation is not limited to the integration of digital tools as a means to driving internal operational efficiencies and productivity.
Calvin Woo is the Director of the Malaysia Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (MYCentre4IR), a multi-stakeholder platform established in partnership with the World Economic Forum and hosted at MyDIGITAL Corporation. He leads the Centre’s strategic workstreams on digital transformation and energy transition, driving national and regional policy development process, multi-sectoral initiatives, and thought leadership in emerging technologies.
Prior to joining MyDIGITAL, Calvin held leadership roles across digital innovation, partnerships, and trade. He served as Head of Ecosystem, Partnerships, and Innovation Labs at Hong Leong Bank, where he advanced fintech collaboration, digital innovation and change management. He was also Senior Trade Manager – Technology at the British High Commission in Malaysia, supporting UK tech companies in expanding to Southeast Asia and positioning Malaysia as a regional technology hub.
