Sir Andrew Steer, KCMG, PhD, is Distinguished Professor of Practice at Georgetown University and the London School of Economics. He is the former President and CEO of the Bezos Earth Fund, a $10 billion grant fund to address climate and nature.
Prior to this role, he served as President and CEO of the World Resources Institute and held key leadership positions at the World Bank and as Director General at the UK Department for International Development.
In 2024, he was knighted for his contributions to sustainable development and was recognized by Forbes as one of the 50 most impactful climate leaders.
He is a member the UK Foreign Secretary's External Foreign Policy Board, and a member of the Board of BRAC, the China Council for International Environment and Development (CCICED), and the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP)
He is co-chair of the Global Future Council on Innovative Financing for Nature and Climate (2025-2026).
