Why disappearing jobs keep students out of college
After states suffer significant job losses, college attendance drops among the poorest students of the next generation, a new study suggests.
Alison Jones joined the Duke University Office of News and Communications in January 2015 as a senior writer with a special focus on the humanities and social sciences.
Previously she worked as communications director for the Duke Center for Child and Family Policy. There she helped spread the word about the Center's research on education reform, the changing American family and prevention of problem behaviors such as child abuse and addiction.
