Mr. Akira Shimada is President and Chief Executive Officer, Representative Member of the Board of NTT, Inc.
Mr. Shimada joined NTT in 1981. Since then he has been engaged in various roles such as enterprise sales, global network service development, finance and accounting, human resources management, and corporate strategy planning and implementation.
Mr. Shimada became Senior Vice President and Head of General Affairs of NTT in 2012, and became Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of NTT in June 2018. He took up the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of NTT in June 2022.
He received his B.A. in Commerce and Management from Hitotsubashi University in 1981.
