Ahmed Mohsen is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of MNT-Halan where he has been responsible for the growth of the company’s tech platform and design of its proprietary core banking software, Neuron. He oversees Halan’s team of over 100 engineers who develop the company’s in-house digital solutions, including the consumer facing platform, AI applications, payment solutions and integrations. Mohsen has extensive experience with tech start-ups, having founded several companies, including MusicQ and CirlceTie, leading the latter as CEO until 2013. He was a founding member of the Egyptian cybersecurity company SecureMisr, which was acquired by Cysiv in March 2020.
Mohsen began his career as a software engineer at IBM where he was part of the team that developed the Commercial Registry Authority system. In addition, he served as an investor and mentor at Flat6 Labs in Cairo, mentoring over 20 start-ups. He was a teaching assistant and research assistant at the American University in Cairo where he earned a degree in computer science in 2005.
