WearTogether

An inadequate supply of PPEs—including masks, gowns, gloves, head covers, shoe covers, and goggles or face shields—for the frontline healthcare workers in the Philippines during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In response to the growing need for PPEs for our COVID-19 frontline healthcare workers, the Global Shapers Manila Hub has partnered with Wear Forward for #WearTogether. We aim to mobilize the Philippine fashion industry to produce PPEs and raise funding to procure PPEs for our frontline healthcare workers over the next two months.

Through the #WearTogether project, we will create an online database and a network of fashion businesses and service providers who can provide raw materials (e.g., fabrics) and/or can produce the PPEs. While we will also produce PPEs, we will manage the transactions between raw material providers and service providers too, ask for cash donations online for purchasing ready-made PPEs and other alternatives to meet the inadequate or urgent demand, and update the status of the cash and PPE donations.
