The STEM Factor

With the STEM Factor project the Global Shapers Florence Hub aims at increasing awareness in young women around the possible careers they can pursue in STEM-related disciplines by exposing them to inspiring role models as well as women peers who have just started their careers in STEM. This twofold approach:

• Raising awareness about possible career opportunities to encourage young women to pursue S T E M - related studies at university (in particular Technology, Engineering and Math)


• Exposing young women to positive leadership role model in stem after the University to increase confidence in young women to pursue a leadership career in STEM after their studies (in particular for Science)

will empower young women to make more mindful choices about their future careers.

The project's ultimate goal is to increase female presence in STEM’s disciplines and leadership roles.
