Project Quantum

Emerging technologies play important role for the young in terms of future jobs and talent. Quantum computing among other emerging technologies can bring so many advantages and the young generation needs to be prepared for it especially women. We all know that women stayed behind man in STEM areas for a long time. Before the die is cast, we need to create a platform for young and especially for women to be ready with skills of quantum copmuting. To prevent gender inequality in an early stage with an emerging technology and create a talent pool by quantum programming trainings to make young ready for the future jobs, Ankara Hub partnered with Microsoft at Global and Local level as well as a local initiative called QTurkey to realize this mission.

The project has both short and long term results. Young people and especially women will be trained as a trainer by Q# Quantum Programming Language and each of them will deliver entry level Quantum Workshops to reach around 400 people and mobilize them for the future technologies. In the following phase a small group will attend mentoring sessions led by engineers of Microsoft. In the long term the talent pool will have been created around Quantum computing language and early steps would have been taken for women in Technology Areas.
