The Islamabad Hub organized an event at the local public hospital for children admitted in the cancer ward. The aim of the project was to bring smiles to the faces of the children undergoing chemotherapy and to their parents. The nurses working in the cancer ward were also invited. The activities included a magic show, a musical sing-along by a band that featured a guitarist from the hub, storytelling, and an art competition. The event was funded by the Shapers, who also provided food for all participants. The event ended with the Shapers distributing bags, candies, and most importantly books.
To arrange a feel-good event and spread smiles to the children suffering from cancer and their parents who are enduring a difficult time in their life and to give them a little breather. The project is not intended to be a one-off event and the intention is to schedule such events annually or bi-annually.
