Kino im Kocher

The Bern Hub project “Kino im Kocher” was a series of free open air movie evenings in a small park in the center of Bern. The goals of the project were to bring life into the neglected park, provide free entertainment in a social atmosphere to a full cross section of city residents, and to replace another large open air film series that ended in 2015. The hun successfully completed two editions in 2017 and 2018, with thousands of visitors. The inner-city park, which was previously disused, attracted more visitors year-round. The project was able to garner local and national press attention and has been spun-out from the hub and is now organized as a separate not-for-profit society.
