This initiative is centered around the COVID-19 Trade Facilitation Repository, which is a joint effort to consolidate information, actions and initiatives adopted by key stakeholders to facilitate trade during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project and repository aim to facilitate access to this information by making it user-friendly, easily accessible, searchable and unifying in one single database (avoiding multiple searches in different engines and platforms). The single database will enable policymakers and trade operators to have a thorough overview of important resources and a place to share best practices.
This repository is a joint initiative by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Commonwealth Small States Office in Geneva, World Trade Organization (WTO), the World Customs Organization (WCO), United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation and the International Trade Centre (ITC). As the situation evolves and further actions are taken, the platform will be expanded to include other key actors working with trade facilitation.
