Career Development for Women

There is a certain percentage of unemployment among women of different ages in regions of Azerbaijan, and big number of women does not know how to find a job, which sphere they can found themselves in, or how they can improve at their current positions. To increase women's employment potential, Baku Hub together with partnering organizations worked on creating two-weeks long training program for women of different age groups and education background. During this period of time speakers and professionals from Azerbaijan and other countries of different spheres shared their vision of current career development opportunities. Over hundred of women took part in the training. 135 women with different education background - students, recent vocational schools and university graduates, and women in their mid-career joined the program. During the program there were delivered 20 trainings on different career related topics. Survey held after completion of the program showed that majority of participants decided to build their businesses or build their careers in tourism sector, using the touristic potential of regions they live in.
